Mum of two Deborah, tipped the scales at 19st 5lbs and was a size 28 when her fiance Anthony proposed on Valentine’s Day, 1999. Deborah accepted – but was mortified at the thought of waddling down the aisle as a wide bride, so put the wedding off for 16 YEARS. Deborah finally decided enough was enough, and lost an incredible 7st. She married Anthony in August 2015 in a slinky size 14 dress. Her inspiring story was printed in Take a Break today.

When Jo-Anne, 16, fell ill, doctors diagnosed her with glandular fever. But when she deteriorated rapidly she was moved into intensive care. Mum Anne, 46, watched as medics fought to save Jo, discovering she had a rare disease – hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) – which was attacking her own organs. Tragically, it was too late and Jo whispered, ‘I love you Mum,’ before she died. Now Anne is raising awareness of the cruel illness. Her awareness-raising story was published in Chat magazine today.

When Ashlee, 24, met Marcus, 24, it was love at first sight. The pair became inseparable and were thrilled when Ashlee fell pregnant in March 2014. But just months later, the new father developed a cancerous lump on his neck and was devastated when doctors said he had just three years to live. Tragically, his health deteriorated far faster and four months later the couple married on his deathbed before he told his bride: ‘I’ve got to go now’.

Tracey, 33, was distraught when she gave birth to a Down’s syndrome boy after turning down a termination. She refused to hold little Ashton and couldn’t bear to look at him. Now, Tracey admits she was wrong. When Danielle’s car aquaplaned, slamming into the motorway embankment and flipping several times, her life flashed before her. Cut from the horror smash with a broken neck and spine the young mum, 35, also lost her right arm and was left lifeless, in a coma. Her life hanging in the balance, desperate nurses played her a message from her son, Ethan. It worked – 16 days later she woke.

Kellie, 32, thought Daniel, 32, was a charmer when they first got together but it wasn’t long before a much darker side of him emerged. Daniel began forcing Kellie, who suffers with crippling arthritis, to have sex with him on demand – brutally raping and beating her if she refused. When he threatened to make naked pics of her public, Kellie snapped and went to police. Two further victims came forward and he was jailed for life. Story – jealousy unleashed

Laura, 33, met hunky DJ, Trevor, 38, on a night out. But just three months into their relationship, Trevor grew jealous and possessive. When he accused her of an affair Laura tried to break up with Trevor – but he launched a brutal attack, headbutting and battering her. When Trevor issued a chilling threat, saying he’d kill her, Laura was terrified. Thankfully, friends rescued her and the thug was jailed. We were proud to help Laura raise vital awareness on the importance of reporting domestic violence. Story – holiday waterslide smash left me with no front teeth

When Chloe, 24, jetted off on her first holiday abroad to Tenerife she was looking forward to sun, sea and sand – but then disaster struck. Just days into the holiday she visited a water park and fell out of a rubber ring on the ‘Volcano’ ride, slamming face first onto the slide. Chloe’s four front teeth were smashed up, requiring £8,000 worth of dental treatment. Last year, she was awarded £19,500 compensation. Her story was printed in The Sun today.

NEW STORY! MY BELLY BURST AND LEFT ME WITH THIS MONSTER ‘BABY BUMP’!

At a whopping 21st, Alison, 42, was so big she burst – developing three hernias that made her bulging belly so big she looked pregnant. Eventually she had surgery to repair the hernias, as well as a gastric sleeve, but got an infection which left her in a coma for three weeks. Forced to relearn to walk and talk, Alison is now 9st lighter and says she wouldn’t change a thing – as she’s finally rid of her ‘baby bump’. She told her story in That’s Life magazine.
