In That’s Life today –

Pregnant Robyn was horrified when she woke up one morning to find she was blind, and doctors diagnosed her with pre-eclampsia. As medics battled to save her life, Robyn was induced into a coma as surgeons were forced to deliver her tiny daughter two months early. After nine days she came round but it was an agonising four weeks before Robyn regained her sight and saw her girl for the first time.

Magazine articles – a round up

Since I’ve become a little bit rubbish at posting the articles I’ve had published in the magazines and newspapers recently, here is a small round up!

Steph, 20, fell head over heels for Connor, 20, and was delighted when her childhood best mate approved of him too. They got engaged and Steph was thrilled when she fell pregnant. But a week before the baby was due, Connor dropped a bombshell. He had slept with her friend just days before his fiancee was due to give birth. Steph was devastated and kicked them both out of her life.

After years of struggling to get her weight under control, yo-yo dieter Donna, 36, weighed in at a whopping 25st and was a hulking size 26. The mum lost an amazing 10st 4lbs when she had a gastric bypass – but became addicted to the painkillers given to her after the op. Her addiction caused her fiance Raymond, 31, to cancel their wedding until she sought help – she is now clean and looking forward to the wedding!

Claire, 27, weighed in at a whopping 21st and begged her doctor for a gastric bypass after her 23st fiance Karl, 25, had the surgery. But while Karl lost a staggering 11st, Claire was rushed into intensive care with a perforated bowel just months after her operation. In agony and covered in scars, Claire often turns down Karl’s advances in the bedroom and says she felt much sexier when she was big.

When size 22 Janice, 34, waddled up the aisle to marry hubby William, 35, the porky pair weighed in at a whopping 35st 8lbs between them. The bride was horrified by their wedding pics and banished them from sight. But she came across them again years later and vowed to change. The couple lost a staggering 7st each and to celebrate, Janice will renew her vows to William next year in a stunning size 12 wedding dress.

When Charlotte, 32, suffered a nasty break-up she turned to food for comfort. But her constant binging meant she soon weighed 23st 3lbs. Fed up being fat and frumpy, size 28 Charlotte got a gastric band  after her nan loaned her the cash. She lost a whopping 10st, shrinking down to a size 14. Newly confident Charlotte then met the love of the life James, 27. The pair married in a fairytale wedding ceremony in August.

Bride’s surprise! I gave birth…hours before I walked up the aisle!

fullsizerender-80Despite being pregnant with her fifth child, Rebecca, 30, was looking forward to getting married to the love of her life Ben, 33. But baby Evelyn-Rose had other ideas.

The day before the wedding Rebecca suddenly went into labour, putting the celebration in doubt. Even though she gave birth just 24 hours earlier, Rebecca still made it up the aisle – carrying her very special guest of honour!

Rebecca’s lovely story was printed in Take a Break magazine this week.

Shaken to the core – piece in the Sunday People

kirstylisterpiecejpgKirsty, 30, was devastated when her 12-week-old baby, Mollie-Grace, suffered a huge brain haemorrhage and stopped breathing. She was horrified when she learned the injuries were as a result of an attack – and her boyfriend, Michael, 30, admitted shaking her. But as Mollie-Grace fought for her life, Michael lied to police – leaving Kirsty in the frame. Thankfully Mollie-Grace survived – and Michael was jailed.

I was proud to help Kirsty share her story in the national press. The brave mum has now got her children back – safe and sound where they belong.

I lost 7st and a decade – now I’m mistaken for my hubby’s mistress!

My client Niki recently shared her amazing weight loss story in the national press. After the death of both of her parents, Niki, 47, comfort ate her way to 15st 12lbs and a size 20. Her size meant Niki looked years older and when a test revealed she had the body of a 62-year-old, it finally shocked her into action. She shed 7st 7lbs – and lost over a decade from her appearance. Now a sexy size 8, she looks absolutely incredible and she’s even been mistaken for her husband’s mistress!

When Niki’s personal trainer Phil contacted me to get her story out there, I arranged for her story to appear in two women’s magazines. Niki also has a third publication deal lined up for a national newspaper.

In the mags today -A true fairytale wedding!

I love this one!

Many brides dream of their fairytale wedding, but one couple took this to a completely different level! Michelle and Simon Francis rocked up at their wedding painted head to toe in green paint. The newlyweds dressed up as Shrek and Princess Fiona for their big day, while their guests turned up in fancy dress. They made sure the day was truly Shrektacular! (sorry for the pun!) Michelle’s story was printed in Take a Break today. Congratulations both!

Published today: ‘Sorry, I can’t marry you…’

Mum of two Deborah, tipped the scales at 19st 5lbs and was a size 28 when her fiance Anthony proposed on Valentine’s Day, 1999. Deborah accepted – but was mortified at the thought of waddling down the aisle as a wide bride, so put the wedding off for 16 YEARS. Deborah finally decided enough was enough, and lost an incredible 7st. She married Anthony in August 2015 in a slinky size 14 dress. Her inspiring story was printed in Take a Break today.

Published today – ‘My agonising goodbye’

When Jo-Anne, 16, fell ill, doctors diagnosed her with glandular fever. But when she deteriorated rapidly she was moved into intensive care. Mum Anne, 46, watched as medics fought to save Jo, discovering she had a rare disease – hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) – which was attacking her own organs. Tragically, it was too late and Jo whispered, ‘I love you Mum,’ before she died. Now Anne is raising awareness of the cruel illness. Her awareness-raising story was published in Chat magazine today.
